Claude Joins Slack for Easier Teamwork

| AI News

Anthropic rolled out Claude’s integration with Slack on October 1, 2025, making work chats smarter. Now, teams can chat with Claude right in Slack via direct messages, an AI panel, or by tagging @Claude in threads. It pulls in Slack messages, channels, and files to help with things like drafting replies, prepping for meetings, or checking documents. Claude also does web searches and analyzes files, all while sticking to your team’s permissions. Rob Seaman, Slack’s Chief Product Officer at Salesforce, said this partnership makes AI feel seamless and boosts productivity.

 Handy Features for Daily Work

Claude can draft private responses in threads for you to tweak, summarize project updates from channels, or create onboarding guides from chat history. It works with other tools like docs and emails, and handles tasks like building briefings or formal docs. Security is tight—Claude only sees what you can, and follows your retention rules.

Who Can Use It and When?

It’s live now for paid Slack plans through the Marketplace. Workspace admins approve it, and users link their Claude accounts. For full Slack search, you need Claude Team or Enterprise plans—admins enable it in settings.

A Step Toward Smarter Offices

This tie-up turns Slack into an AI-powered hub, helping teams work faster without switching apps. It’s part of Anthropic’s push for safe, helpful AI in business—one chat at a time.
