PayPal and Venmo Users Get Early Access to Perplexity’s Comet Browser

| AI News

PayPal and Venmo have partnered with AI startup Perplexity to give users early access to its new AI-powered browser called Comet. Along with this, users will receive a free 12-month Perplexity Pro subscription worth about $200.

The offer is part of PayPal’s new subscription hub feature, which helps users manage and track all their recurring payments in one place. U.S. users can sign up through the PayPal app, and eligible global users can activate the offer while using PayPal at checkout.

Comet integrates AI directly into the browsing experience, allowing users to summarize pages, manage emails, schedule meetings, and handle tasks without switching between apps. Perplexity aims to compete with AI leaders like OpenAI and Google, while also working on mobile versions of Comet for wider availability.
